SINOPSE

  
SANTANA é funcionário público, trabalha no Centro de Zoonoses da Prefeitura, como motorista da famosa carrocinha, recolhendo cachorros sem licença. Simpático e bonachão, avesso a confusões,vive, razoavelmente bem, num subúrbio com sua família, conseguindo manter aviolência longe de casa. Até o dia em que captura, exercendo seu ofício, um violentíssimo cachorro. Decorridos alguns dias, apresenta-se alguém dizendo-se dono do cão: trata-se de um temido bandido. O homem está furioso, considera seu cachorro seqüestrado. Mas o cachorro não vai voltar: foi sacrificado. Por um mal-entendido, o facínora se indispõe justamente com Santana, considerando-o responsável pela morte do animal. Como vingança, seqüestra o filho pequeno de Santana. Este é somente o primeiro dos dois seqüestros do filme.
SYNOPSIS
Santana, a typical Brazilian family man, lives a quiet life in a Rio's suburbs. He has a wife, and two children, Isaura and João and works at the Animal Control Center as a dog catcher, picking up stray or rabid animals. One day he catches a dangerous Neopolitan Mastiff wandering the streets. Nobody claims the dog, and following protocol, after tree days the animal is put down, as are all unclaimed dogs. Except this time, the dog’s owner shows up – Paulinho, a dangerous corrupt cop who runs a violent militia. Enraged over the alleged kidnapping and murder of his beloved pet, the corrupt officer decides to avenge its death by giving Santana a taste of his own medicine: He decides to kidnap Santana's son João. And this is only the first of the 2 kidnappings of the film.
